Interesting thought. If I was a member of the GB and wanted to keep my following I would look at forums like this so that I could say see we have an ansewr for everything we must have Jah's blessing! Makes sense to me.

Has anyone noticed?
by DazedAndConfused ini was reading truthseeker's post's about the summer convention.
s/he kept saying that the convention this year is focused on jesus.. i have been watching and comparing what is being said here and the things presented by the botchtower babble society, both in the local meetings and the assemblies/conventions.
it seems to me, without actually looking up post's, that what is presented to the r&f follows what is challenged here in jwd by a week/month or two.. for a quick example, this particular convention is speaking about jesus.... a lot.

I got married yesterday!
by Gadget ini've been posting on here for four years now, and so much has changed in my life.
everything seemed to be going wrong then, but time has done wonders and things are real good now.
lots of people on the board helped and supported me through that, as well as new non-witness friends that i made.

Sister-in-law attempts suicide
by golf2 inmy sister-in-law tried to take her life this afternoon.
it still remains to be seen if she makes it through or not.
though a witness, she's had many bad experiences in life.

Days that Go From Bad to Downright Embarassing
by Crumpet inso far this monday has been one nightmare after another.. it began with discovering that overnight my computer has wiped my harddrive - everything gone - photos, msn conversations, university assignments, diaries, letters, work docs, movies, videos, unmentionables.
i feel like i have been erased!
why - i have no idea?.

Did You Personally Know of Sex Offenders In The Congregation?
by minimus ini knew of 1 person that should've been reported to the authorities for fooling around with his sisters when he was an older teen and they were much younger.
it was hushed up by the elders, as this was considered a very prominent family.
the allegations were made probably 20 years ago, well before i was ever in that hall.

One of my friends was dating an elder she was really excited about the relationship and wantd me to meet him, we spent the day together but there was something off. I could not put my finger on it. She phone me later to ask me what I thought of him and I told her that there was something not right there, it was as if he was trying to convince himself that he was in love with my friend. A few weeks later he broke it off with her and married a sixteen year old girl he was studying with!!!! This guy was in his forties at the time. The parents gave their consent and were only too happy that their daughter was marring an elder! My friend phoned me and thanked me for been honest when she asked me what I thought. He is still an elder.
A young girl that my husband knew was also having a regulat bible study with an elder in her congregation. She was 17 and he was in his sixties. They use to sit in her bedroom to "study". About six months into the study he got df and divorced his wife and married this young girl.

My car was stolen at the shops today
by Es ini was in the shops for not even an hour, get back and my car is gone!!!!
it had the baby seat, bottles for kaia, luckily i took the pram in with me and my expensive jacket.
we had to buy another car seat for kaia.. im so annoyed that they didnt even care that they would be leaving a mother with her child stranded at the shops.. anyway reported to police and insurance now just have to wait and see if they find it or not.

now i'm even more confused...
by Missanna inok i started thinking tonight which is always a bad idea after i've had a long, really pressuring, day at work.
but i've been in this sort of confused uncomfortable state lately about whether i believe in god or not.
i finally got past the actual guilt of having these questions because i knew that was just what was drilled into my skull in my past.

Give yourself time to heal. Don't get involved with anything until you have had time to let go of all the WBTS mind control. You don't have to go from one set of rules straight into another. It took me 5 years after leaving the JWs before I started to look at other religions. I am now a Christian and enjoying reading the bible with an open mind for the first time. Remember there is always good and evil, so if you believe in demons you have to believe in angels or some other good forces to balance it out. This is only my humble opinion take it or leave it.
